Visiting my Sister

To start today's blog off, I thought I'd go back to something I mentioned in my last blog, namely going to visit my sister. Over the weekend just gone, from very early sunday morning til the evening of bank holiday monday, my mum, brother, sister and me all went down to Sawbridgeworth, to go visit my sister and her boyfriend in their new flat.

The trip started with the traditional family road trip drive down, which of course included stopping off at McDonald's for breakfast, and a boiling hot car, however we did go prepared with a variety of cd's to keep us going. Once we arrived at my sisters new flat, and had a quick tour and snoop round the rooms, we then decided to head over to cambridge. For ages now, I've wanted to visit cambridge because I'd wanted to be able to see the university, and the old architecture, and because I'd heard it was a really nice place to live. After having walked around some of the city, and driven around the villages close by, I can say I would definatly like to live around there at some point, although I think that would be a very expensive move.

I won't keep rambling on about the trip, however I did want to talk about the main thing I discovered during the visit, which was how much things have now changed. In the past couple of years whilst my sisters been at uni, I've gone to see her at her flat quite a few times, however this time was completely different. For the first time ever it feels like she's moving on to like the next stage in life, away from us. She's now got her own place away from school and university, away from her family home, and heading out to start a new chapter in her life. Since thinking about this I also couldn't help but think that that will be me next, that in about three years ill be moving away from uni, into my own house, and ill be moving on.

Hopefully I don't sound too weird, I did talk a bit about this in a blog not too long ago. I just think that I'm at point now where people I know and myself are moving from being normal teenagers at school with not much responsibilities, to young adults supporting ourselves away from home. Am really looking forward to it all though, to see how things all play out.

Thankyou for reading, I'll try to make my next blog a bit more lively.
