My first telephone interview

I don't want to keep going on about finding a job and sending out applications and all that stuff, so I'll try to keep things brief.

Yesterday afternoon, completely out of the blue, I got a phone call from a company I had applied to several days before, asking whether I would be available for a telephone interview early next week.

Obviously I said yes, but this will be my first ever over the phone interview and even though initially I thought it would be great, so much better than an in-person interview, i'm starting to get a bit worried.

With in-person interviews I always tend to get a bit flustered and nervous, mainly because you always get asked really random questions and you never know whether what your saying is good or bad. Ironically its this face to face interaction that probably makes in-person interviews better than over the phone ones, speaking over the phone you have no way of gaging the persons response.

Even though you do lose this in-person interaction, you do gain the opportunity to prepare some answers beforehand, and to perhaps have some scenarios already written down that you can look over as the interview is being conducted.

Hopefully everything will go well on Monday, even if I have never done one of these things before, this jobs does look really good though, so fingers crossed.
