Good day people of the internet. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this in a previous blog or not but this weekend Minecon 2012 is going on in Disneyland Paris.
For people who don't know what Minecon 2012 is all about, its a convention in its second year, that is held to celebrate the game Minecraft. Last year it was held in Las Vegas, and this year it was decided to be held in Disneyland Paris. It comes as little surprise if you know me, that ever since I heard it was being held in Paris, a stones throw away compared to last year, I wanted to go.
Unfortunately, even with the convention only being in France, its was still a little too pricey for me to go. Luckily this year however their is a livestream covering of all the panels and all of the key events, so for anyone who also wasn't able to go, of which there are thousands, we don't have to fully miss out. Oh well perhaps if I'm lucky I'll make it to next years Minecon. I'll add that to the growing list of other conventions including Comic con, PAX and a few others.
The second thing I wanted to talk about today is about how quickly christmas is creeping up on us. A couple of weeks ago the coke cola advert came on t.v, the next day my house mate was playing christmas songs whilst we were all doing work.
Now a don't mind people saying its christmas soon, but whilst your at university, this time of year is full of revision and deadlines, and by accepting that its christmas soon, you don't often want to do all that work and you kind of give in to doing christmasy things instead. Once all of my essays have been handed in and university finished for the holidays, then I'll start getting all christmasy, until then however I'll take any motivation and help I can get to get all of my work done, without being distracted or procrastinating.
Saying that I probably should have finished off the bibliography today for the essay I've got to hand in on monday. With that, I best go finish my work
