Camera's, Camcorder's and Memories

Back in December of last year, I felt myself wanting to start taking more pictures and videos of special occasions with friends and family, and also of just normal everyday events. I started to feel like this mainly because of recent events a few months before and also because I wanted to have the memories of those days as something I could physically see and keep with me, and also use to show others.

I've always liked the idea of photo albums and home videos/dvd's, because although you can think about all those times gone by in your head, having them in front of you and being able to look through them all, I think is so much better.

Since christmas I was able to find a very nice Samsung camcorder/camera, and immediately began to start filming things, from days out, to bbq's out in the back garden, to occasions like my sisters birthday. Aswell as using the camcorder, if I happen to have left it at home, I also have begun taking loads of pictures now using my Blackberry. Six months on from having thought of this idea, to start photographing more things in my life, I've found that I've already got quite a big collection of videos, and an even larger collection of photos, both of which I know will continue to keep on growing.

Having these memories as physical copies, I think is amazing as it not only allows you to show others, but also it allows you to see the amount of things that you've done, and seen, and been through, in a more measurable way. I've no doubt that I will continue to keep filming and taking pictures, and finally end up with something that I'll be happy and proud to look back through and use to rediscover memories of things that have happened throughout my life.
