I went to go see the second part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows only a few hours ago, and I can tell you, it is the most amazing, most awesome, fantastic film ever. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this story.
From the beginning of Part 2, you are thrust straight into the action, and stay at quite a fast pace throughout the rest of the film. However there are moments that slow the film down, almost to a halt, which become very emotional and draw you in even further. The balance of the action, emotion, and suspense scenes were spot on, making it an even better film.
The best feature about the film I'd have to say, is that they tied up ever lose end. By doing this it feels like it has properly ended the story, and that in a way it gives a sense of closure, so everyone can leave with all questions answered, nothing outstanding, in the knowledge that they now know all of Harry's story.
In relation to this, I thought I'd say that I think one of my favourite scenes has to be, the final 5 minutes of the film. The scene where you see Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione with their children on platform nine and three quarters. Having read the book and knowing that J.K Rowling included this scene, I was slightly unsure about whether they would or would not include it in the film. However I'm thrilled to see that they did include it, and I feel that it made all the difference.
Making the last book a two parter, I thought was the best choice, because you can definatly see how much they wanted to keep the original scenes from the book and replicate them, instead of adding in new sections or altering them.
This film has been a long time coming, we all knew that it would arrive eventually, and I can say, with 100% that it doesn't disappoint. I'd hope that for people who haven't yet read the books, but have seen the films, and see this last film, that it'll inspire them to want to start the story again and follow it this time through the pages of the books.
The last thing I can say about this film, is that it really does for a lot of people symbolise the end, not only for the story, but for sections of peoples life. I was lucky enough to grow up alongside these films and the books, and it does seem to show an ending to my childhood, especially knowing that after the summer I will be starting university and moving on in my life.
If you have the chance to see this film in the cinema, please do, you won't regret it, I promise. I can't praise this film enough, it is brilliant. This film makes me feel really sad, extremely happy, and a wide range of things all at the same time.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, is truly a worthy ending to a fantastic series, it is an end of an era, a mark in peoples lives, and finally the most amazing film I've ever seen.
