Recently on a podcast that I listen too, the two hosts brought up the question, 'if you had the choice to have a celebrity as your head teacher would you? And if so who would it be?' Immediately they both agreed they would, and began to choose who this person would be. However as well as just answering this question they then proceeded to developed it further to replace other types of teachers they had with celebrities to create their own celebrity teaching school.
After listening to this podcast and who they choose for certain teaching positions, I thought I would also give it a go and see who I could come up with.
Now on the podcast, which is called the 'Yogpod' (an awesome, hilarious podcast), they had a set list of celebrities with which to make their decisions from, however for the purpose of this blog I'm going to allow myself to choose any living celebrity/famous person I want.
To beginning my list I think I'll start at the top and then work my way down to a few more general subject teachers.
For the Headteacher - Dara O'brien, as I think he'd be a good face for things, he's well liked but can be strict when necessary .
Deputy Headteacher - Barrack Obama, as a deputy has to be more strict and get things done.
History teacher - David Tennant, I know he is actually an actor and not Dr Who however teaching history I think would fit him well, and also they tend to be more of the cooler type teachers.
English teacher - Stephen Fry, host of QI, author, all round literary genius.
Science teacher - Brian Cox, one of the smartest people I know of today, but most importantly is able to teach 'normal' people all these clever facts in a simple manner.
Geography teacher - Michael Palin, pretty self explanatory, could just put videos of himself on for hours and sit back and relax.
P.E teacher - Kelly Holmes, gold medallist, olympian, brilliant athlete.
Food Tech teacher - Gordon Ramsey, would probably only be able to teach the older kids though due to the swearing but would be cool to have him.
Music Teacher - Cheryl Cole, popular with loads of people, good singer, seems to know what she's doing.
Drama teacher - Meryl Streep/Patrick Stuart, two amazing old school actors, could be a nice place to retire for them.
Substitute teacher - Alan Davies, mainly just as he seems to have that image of a funny substitute teacher or as a substitute for him - David Mitchell.
Librarian - J.K Rowling, self explanatory really, awesome author, would get people into reading, however there probably would be quite a large Harry Potter section.
I know this blog does seem a bit unusual compared to normal, I just thought it was a good question, and wanted to share my answers with you. Anyway this is my line up for my celebrity/famous school. Who would you want teaching you?
If I come across anymore weird/interesting/mind blowing questions, I'll be sure to make another one of these blogs.
