First little bit of info; although this week (week 5 on my uni timetable) has been a slow week, and next week (week 6) is also likely to be quite slow, these weeks are like the quiet before the storm.
As I learned last semester, weeks 5 and 6 tend to be the quiet middle weeks where you don't have much work, and ur lectures seem quiet, however as soon as you begin week 7 everything changes due to impending assignment deadlines.
I felt I should add that bit of information in there to begin with, just to show that although I may not be particularly busy at the moment, I'm not just being lazy and I can definitely see a few stressful busy weeks fast approaching.
My next and main piece of information is that I now have a new page on my blog entitled 'Books Lists'. This page consists of three lists that I'm going to be regularly updating, showing which books I have read this year, which books I am currently reading, and also which books I have piled up ready to read.
I'm still unsure what has caused this resurgence in reading books, and of the wide array of books I'm now interested in reading, however this resurgence I one of the key reasons in creating this new page. Both to show anyone who wants to see the page what books a 20 year old university student finds interesting too read, and also as a way for me to keep track of what I've read and what my growing pile of books to read looks like.
Another reason why I wanted to create this page is due to hearing several people over the last couple of weeks saying that they've set themselves a target of reading 50 books by the end of the year. Now I'm not quite sure whether this is a new years resolution that loads of people have heard of and have decided to do themselves, but I thought I'd take a stab at it too.
Although these people have set themselves the target of 50 books this year, I'm going to start off slightly lower and say that I hope to read 30 books by the end of 2012.
Even though I do have this new 'Book' page, I have been toying with the idea of writing short reviews on the books when I finish them, or on books I find are especially good reads, and then as always posting them on my blog page.
At the end of the day, I'm not in anyway a book critic so I wouldn't be giving lengthy reviews on the books, I'd just be giving short, to the point reviews about whether I liked them or not and whether in my opinion I feel other people would like to give them a read. Before I do decide to do these reviews, I think I'll just think the idea over again and will post at a later date what I'm intending to do.
Hopefully this little update blog doesn't seem to boring, if anyone does read this however and has an idea for a good book that I should read, please leave a quick comment down below and I'll be sure to check it out.
