This week has been quite jam packed, not just because of the packing and prep for moving back to uni, but because of the number of get together's with relatives.
Having taken the majority of my stuff to my new house several weeks ago, there wasn't a hugh amount of things left to pack. However this did cause a problem, as I had to try to remember if I'd taken stuff already or whether I'd taken enough and should pack more. For most people I'm guessing packing stuff into a bag wouldn't be too much of a problem, however due to my need to be very organised and ready for unexpected situations, it can sometimes take me a bit longer then usual.
Putting aside the whole packing situation, the rest of this week consisted of meeting up with some relatives of mine, some that live nearby, some that live a few hours away but drove up to see us and some that live really far away but coincidentally where in the area on holiday.
This process of essentially saying goodbye to everyone actually felt kind of odd. The reason I say this is because even though my brother is leaving to start uni tomorrow, I started a year ago, and have already been living away from home for a year, and so I've kind of already left. I know that I went back home over the summer but to me, I've technically moved out already, and during the summer I was just back temporarily. I'm not quite sure if I'm getting down how I mean, but hopefully you can understand the jist of it.
Heading back to uni this time around definitely does feel so much different from last year, I'm on my own taking the train for starters, but also there's less worry and confusion, and I'm looking forward to it so much more. Hopefully this year will go just like I en-vision it will.
To all the students starting university this year, including my brother, good luck, remember your probably in completely new surroundings so be safe, don't drink too much, and most importantly have fun.
