About me

After reading another blog this week I realised that after that very first blog I did I never really wrote like an introductory blog to who I am.

I don't know about other people, but every time you create a new profile on a website or something and you have to fill in the 'About me' questions, I tend to struggle to find enough stuff to write. This is my lame attempt to say that I'm going to give this a decent go, but I might end up writing just boring stuff or not much at all.

We'll start with the very basic's:

Occupation: student
Siblings: one brother, two sisters
Resident of: Sheffield
Okay so that's all I can really think of for the basic questions.

A bit more about me:
I'm the second child out of four. I have one older sister, a younger sister and a younger brother and I'm the eldest son.

I'm generally quite introverted and usually when meeting new people I'm quite shy, until I get to know them better.

I'm currently in my second year of university, looking forward to my third year. At the moment I'm studying at Sheffield Hallam University but looking to transfer down to a London university for my third and final year.

I've always been really interested in History, hence why I'm doing a degree in it at university. Along with this, I'm really into tech and gadgets, of all different kinds, and really love watching films and getting into new tv programmes.

I have been blogging for just under two years now I think. I like to blog about anything and everything, A) because I can and B) because this blog gives me my own little corner of the internet where I can voice my thoughts and feelings.

Over the last year or so I've really gotten back into books, mainly buying them, honestly I think I may have a problem I buy them so often. I do also get round to reading them occasionally when I get the time, although I'm not the fastest reader in the world. Right now I'm reading Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch.

Within the last year or so I've also really gotten back into gaming, more specifically pc gaming. I used to play computer games all the time when I was younger and somehow I slipped out of it during secondary school, and only just re-discovered it.

I listen to all loads of different types of music, my library's very eclectic, you can find tracks ranging from well known artists such as skrillex and train to maybe not so well known artists such as Lindsey Stirling and Alex Goot. I'm currently listening to Imagine dragons new album, and the new album only released a few days ago by George Watsky.

I've never owned an Apple product. I do like some of them, just think that they're often a bit to pricey. This means that I never had an ipod and so to this day I still use a 4gb creative mp3 player that I bought ages ago. It just keeps on going so I never think to get a newer one.

As I said earlier on I'm not too good at these, but hopefully that's alright. I think I'll stop there for the moment, hopefully that shows a bit more of an in-depth picture of me. Shouldn't have to do another one of these for a very long time, although saying that I might edit it occasionally if with anything new.
