This week is another first for university related stuff, specifically with regards to doing essays and coursework.
Earlier on in the week we began to receive our first warnings of impending coursework deadlines. Due to this I felt that it was about time I dig into my pile of papers and start the prep work for my first big piece of coursework.
Now you'll probably be able to tell from my previous blogs that whilst I was studying at Sheffield Hallam I was never that enthusiastic when it came to getting my coursework done. Here at UEL though we're doing completely different and very interesting module topics, to the point that they've actually brought back that spark for learning and make me want to do work, and sometimes even do additional work so I have a wider more rounded knowledge on the subject.
This weeks big piece of work is on Oral History, a topic that I've never really touched on before and has thrown out so many myths on things I thought to be previously true about history sources. It has also given me my first chance to listen to history interviews and use audio tracks as sources.
Hopefully as this is my first piece of coursework at this new university everything will go well and I'll be on track for a good last year of education. These next few weeks are going to be very busy, work wise, so I've set my set a few targets to help me get through it. I'll make sure to put some special time aside though, just for these blogs, to keep these updates coming. Wish me luck.
