Macbeth

My brother is currently a week away from finishing his second year of university doing an acting degree. Before his class could finish for the year they had to do a performance at the Durngate theatre in Northampton.

Several months ago they chose to settle on acting out Macbeth, as the title suggests, and after months of work, spending hours in university rehearsing, painting sets, creating costumes, etc...we finally got to see them act it out this afternoon.

After coming out of the theatre, I can say that I thought it was really great, as a modern twist on the original I did get kind of confuses at certain points, and with the AC out in the theatre everyone seemed to be quite hot and flustered by the end but it was still really good.

Sitting next to my sister who hasn't really heard of or read Macbeth before, I had to explain certain things to her during the interval, however their performance actually showed me that I had forgotten quite a few of the little details of the play, and needed some help distinguishing between what they added in themselves and what I'd forgotten.

Although i'm still not the biggest fan of theatre performances, and not 100% up to date on all of the rules and etiquette surrounding the theatre, today's performance was a nice experience.
