Everyone has bad days now and again, and it just so happened that on that specific evening I had my phone on me and an urge to blog. Although I was tempted to take that post down, I thought that it wouldn't really be in the nature of this blog and I thought I should keep up all my blogs no matter how good, weird, or embarrassing.
This blog will probably be quite a quick one, as the name of this blog suggests I've been very busy and I'm quite piled under with work this weekend.
This week so far has been quite hectic as I had a group presentation to deliver yesterday, and throughout the week we'd been finishing off and tweaking the presentation to get it just right. Hopefully it went quite well, we all think we did fine, no real hiccups or anything whilst we were giving it, so I guess we'll just have to wait a few weeks to see how we did.
The main cause of chaos in my life now though, is for a group presentation that we have to give next friday. The reason that this one is worse then yesterdays is because it is made up of two individual presentations not just one, it's twice as long, and due to problems in our seminars, we've only properly known about it for about 3 weeks now, instead of several months.
Spending the afternoon in the library yesterday however, allowed us to churn out quite a few ideas about the presentation and allowed us to add some structure to what work still needed to be done. It was quite clear from the beginning of the module that no one really took much liking to this specific subject and knew things could get quite confusing, we didn't feel that we'd be cutting our deadline so close though. Saying that though we do still have just under a week, we are working hard on getting the work done, and we are university students, so by reputation we'll have a finished product come friday even if we have to spend ages in the library to get it done.
I don't usually like to class myself within stereotypes, however on this occasion I do have to agree with the fact that put under pressure of deadlines, students can become very resilient and withstand large amounts of sleep deprivation to get the job done.
I think I'll end this quick blog there for today, going to go get some lunch (even though I've just realised its 4 o'clock) and perhaps play a bit of Mass Effect to give myself a little bit of a break. Really can't wait for this presentation to be over.
