Before I say anything, I quickly want to add that I am finally free from this batch of exams and so I want be going on again about procrastinating or revising, at least not until the next lot come up in a few months.
Today what I wanted to talk about are books, more specifically how susceptible I am to buying them. Each week I give myself a certain amount of money from my student loan as everyday living money, to buy food and any other things I need. However many times last year and quite a bit over christmas I used this money to just buy books.
Now for some this may not seem that much of a problem, spending a little bit of money to get some good book and build my library, however the problem doesn't end their.
Last year, on average I probably bought about one book every week, which again to some may not seem like much. The problem with this however is that last year I only fully read about 16 books. Because I continually get new books, other books that I have in my to read pile get pushed further and further back and makes me wonder if I'll ever get round to reading them.
Seeming as I'm getting more into books, I've been wanting to match that by reading a lot more then usual. The problem is that with all my university work, and between reading books for university, that I'm not going to be able to read the same amount of books than I'm buying in.
Saying all of this, I really like buying books, especially if I'm in a book shop and they've got a sale on, like what happened earlier on today. Perhaps if I stopped for a few months, I'd be able to save a little bit of money and be able to catch up on some of the books in my to read pile.
