If you've read many of my blogs before, specifically the ones from about this time last year and the summer before that, then you'll probably have discovered my dislike for very warm weather.
Whereas the majority of british people look forward to summer time, a time when they can hopefully enjoy a few weeks of mediterranean weather, have bbq's and get tans, I much prefer the winter time. The main reasons I think this is, are A) because in the cold you can put more clothes on but in the heat there's only so many clothes you can take off and B) because when its very warm it seems to drain your energy to the point where you don't really want to do much leaving you very unproductive.
With all of this being said because of the number of extremely hot days we've had, I've been fairly lazy this week.
I remember this happening last year where due to the heat and not much going on, I seemed to get bored and sitting around the house more then usual. I am still reading books, playing games, getting the odd important thing done here and there, but I've started to reach that point where ironically I'm not doing much because I'm drained of energy from sitting round for ages. I know that sounds a bit backwards but you do seem to get quite tired and drained when your bored and doing very little.
Luckily having gone through this little phase last year, I know that things will soon pick up again and I'll get back into the swing of things in no time. Having seen that the weathers chilled out somewhat and that it could rain at any point today, things are already feeling more like your typical old british summertime.
Really cannot wait for it to be wintertime again.
