New Movie Trailers

This week saw the release of two amazing and hugely anticipated movie trailers, the second one in particular. The trailers were for Jurassic Park 4/Jurassic World and Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens.

I saw the trailer for Jurassic Park 4 earlier this week, and had no idea that there was going to be another Jurassic Park, so was taken quite by surprise. After the first watch I thought that it looked fantastic, we finally get to see what the park would have been like if it were completed in the other films. Furthermore we get to see this island filled with human visitors rather than just a small group of people alone with an island full of dinosaurs. Which as we saw obviously didn't end too well.

After chatting with some guys at work about the trailer, I started to think more about whether this will actually be any good, due to one main reason, that it was the forth time these people in the film have tried to set up a dinosaur park, after three very dodgy failed attempts.

Due to the fact that this film isn't a reboot and it does follow on from the previous events, there has to be a sequence in the film somewhere that answers the question "why are we still trying to do this after three failed attempts where people died and things went very bad?" And then after this lead on to answer the question, "with that answer in mind, why did we take it to the next level and make genetically modified carnivorous dinosaurs? Could we have just started off with the safer ones first?"

I'm sure as everyone now a days is very health and safety conscious, these questions will definitely be answered, perhaps in some kind of slideshow presentation, just to ease our nerves about the whole situation, but who knows. Honestly though, this is kind of common sense, please don't just skip over this point otherwise I don't think people will get what's going on.

Moving on to yesterday, I got an email from someone at work, whilst at work with the subject line 'Star Wars 7 Trailer'. Now I knew that this would be coming out at some point soon so I wasn't as surprised, but that didn't stop me from being taken aback by the trailer and how absolutely amazing it was. Even though very little was actually shown, what they did include looked brilliant.

The highlighted oddly for me was actually the clips of the X-wings and of the Millennium Falcon, not just because I love those ships but because of how modern the clips look, and how because of J. J Abrams involvement the scenes looked very similar to the latest Star Trek.

I did not think I would get this excited over this new set of Star Wars films but after having seen this trailer I cannot wait. The only problem with this being that the first film doesn't come out till sometime next December. Why do they have to release these trailers so early and makes us wait ages!

This is why I don't like to get involved in the hype and tend not to watch to many teasers/trailers. I cannot wait though, these films look so good. Hurry up next June and next December!
