Holiday...Continued

Its now our second full day out here in Munich, and half way through my stay. Just wanted to recap a few things that have happened since the last blog on monday.

Getting through the airport on monday wasn't as much of a hassle as I expected it to be, however I did set off the metal detectors, and so had to take everything out of my pockets and take off my shoes. When it came to taking off, and landing it was absolutely fine, don't know what all the fuss is about. Looking out the window whilst in the air was amazing, never seen anything like it, being above the clouds like that. I can definatly say, I love flying.

For our first day, yesterday, we decided to have a bit of a lie in, due to being up quite late the night before, and then straight after lunch to go swimming in the lake about 20/25 mins walk away. This lake was amazing, just like one out of a film, really clean, clear water, a bit cold but was brilliant to swim around in, especially on such as hot day. There was also room for the others who just wanted to chill and lay in the sun.

Today the plan was to go into Munich to the outdoor Olympic stadium/village area, where there was a festival being held with fun fair. At the fun fair we of course had to go on one of the rides, and so went on one called Top Spin, where u were spun backwards, forwards, over your head, hung over water.....it was really good I thought, however my little sister wasn't such a big fan of it. The other also wanted to go on the trampolines, and I decided to go on with them. What a mistake that was though. After about a minute a jumped, landed on my back and felt something slip, a shock go down my spine, and my head start to spin. I'm doing a lot better now, but I do think that I won't go on a trampoline for a while.

After that little incident, my mum and me decided to go up the large tower nearby, where they had a revolving cafe, and a viewing platform up on the 183rd floor. Needless to say up there we could see lots of Munich and took loads of pictures.

From the tower we then headed over to the BMW museum. Although it was in a way a museum, it was also like a car show room, as there were new cars on display and salesman like people wandering around the floor. It did look so cool though. I even took a visit to the gift shop, which oddly had an Apple store inside, and a Mini gift shop.

During the visit to the museum, outside it turned from hot and cloudy, to pouring it down with rain. At which point we decided to head back on the train. With the exception of my back injury, it was a really good day. Topped of with another great evening of chatting with Matthew, and everyone bringing up old memories and talking about our old schools.

At the moment I'm not quite sure what were doing tomorrow, I think the plan so far is that we'll be going to Ikea and maybe some other shopping in Munich city centre. Tomorrow however is my last evening here, so will definatly be going out with Matthew, for a last good night out, will find out tomorrow where we'll be off and if we're meeting anyone out there. Again I can't wait. This really has been an awesome holiday!
