Favourite Video Games 2012

Continuing on with my 'Favourites' lists, this blog as the title suggests will be all about Video Games. Although ever since I was young I've been interested in playing video games, this year I've really embraced my gaming/nerdy side, moving back to PC gaming, going to my first ever gaming convention, and actively looking into gaming news and development, to see what is going on the the world of gaming.

 This blog will be split up into two different lists, one showing my favourite games of 2012 (games that either came out this year or that I discovered and have been playing lots of) and my favourite games of all time.

The first list will be my favourite games of 2012. Getting back into gaming this year has meant that I've bought alot more games then I usually do, and because of this I've had the opportunity to go back to classic games that I missed when I was younger and also to play brand new games that have just been released. I've also this year began playing modded versions of games which I previously never did, as well as more games in alpha and beta stages of development. This then is my list of favourite games of 2012 (in no particular order):

4) X-Com Enemy Unknown - PC/Xbox 360
5) Left 4 Dead 2 - PC/Xbox 360
6) The Hidden - Half Life Mod - PC
7) Black Ops 2 - Xbox 360
8) Trials HD - Xbox 360

9) Far Cry 3 - Xbox 360
10) Assassins Creed 3 - PC/Xbox 360

This second list is for my favourite games of all time. I also did a favourite games list early on this year, and upon comparing that list to this one there aren't actually that many changes. Somehow, after seeing all of the new games that came out this year and that I discovered, at least half of the games from the previous list still managed to survive and keep their place in my top ten. So this is this years version of my Favourite Video Games of all times:

I've already got my eye on a few games that are scheduled to come out this year. We'll have to see this time next year, if any of them are able to knock some of these awesome games off the list.
